Overview

proinstanderapk.org is an impersonation phishing page that presents itself as a download portal for Instander, a modified Instagram client for Android. Its page title, "Instander APK V18.0 - Download Free Latest Version Android", is aimed at people searching for the newest build of that app outside the Play Store. PhishDestroy first flagged the domain on 2026-10-16. As of 2026-10-19 the site is still online and serving its content.

How the scam works

Sites like this borrow the name and look of a popular unofficial app so that searchers trust them as a legitimate source. The visitor is offered a "free latest version" APK, but nothing guarantees the file matches the genuine release. A repackaged installer can carry adware, spyware or code that captures credentials. Because Instander is an Instagram client, the main thing at risk is the Instagram login typed into it, along with any data and permissions granted to the installed app on the phone.
