Overview

phantsext.pro is an impersonation phishing site. Its name reads like a shortened "Phantom extension", a lure aimed at people searching for a crypto wallet browser add-on. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-28. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving content.

How the scam works

Wallet impersonation pages copy the look of a trusted wallet or its download page. They then push visitors to type in a seed phrase, to "restore" or "verify" a wallet, or to connect the wallet and sign transactions. A recovery phrase entered on such a page lets the operator empty every account derived from it. A signed approval can let them move tokens without asking again. The live page currently carries the default WordPress title "My Blog - My WordPress Blog", while we classify the domain as impersonation phishing.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-09-27 through Spaceship, Inc., one day before PhishDestroy caught it. That short gap fits a domain bought specifically for a campaign rather than an established site. It sits on Unified Layer shared hosting, geolocated to India, and uses a free automated certificate, so the browser padlock says nothing about who runs it.
