Overview

omni.var8ational.io is an impersonation phishing page titled "Service Status". urlscan.io matched its look to a generic Cloudflare page, so visitors see what appears to be a routine infrastructure check rather than an attack. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-08-13. The site has been offline since 2026-09-16, and its content was still blocked by the provider at the last check on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Pages that copy a Cloudflare interstitial or status notice rely on the fact that most people click through these screens without a second look. Once trust is borrowed, the page asks for whatever the operator wants: a "verification" click, login details, or instructions to paste a command into the computer to "prove you are human". The victim can lose account credentials, or the whole device if a pasted command installs malware. The "Service Status" title shows a plain outage notice, while we classify the page as impersonation phishing.

Evidence

Five of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-09-14: ChainPatrol, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and VIPRE. That count is modest, but a crypto-focused tracker like ChainPatrol sitting next to mainstream security vendors gives the verdict weight. urlscan.io rated the page malicious, and Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as phishing. PhishDestroy also carries it on its blocklist.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through GNAME.COM PTE. LTD. on 2026-08-11 and was being used for phishing within two days. That gap is typical of disposable domains bought for a short campaign. The site sits behind Cloudflare, with the edge address resolving to Canada, which hides the true origin server. The certificate came from Google Trust Services (WE1), so a padlock in the browser says nothing about whether this site is safe.

What to do

If you typed a password on this page, change it at once and turn on app-based two-factor authentication. Do the same for any other account that used the same password. If the page talked you into pasting or running a command, disconnect that machine, scan it with up-to-date security software, and change passwords from a different device.
