PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

novachange.pro is an impersonation phishing site that presents itself under the name "NovaChange" to win the trust of cryptocurrency users. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-09, just over two weeks after the domain was registered. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its phishing content, so it remains a live risk.

How the scam works

The page carries the title "NovaChange" and is built to pass as a legitimate crypto service. Visitors who believe they are on the real platform are steered into actions that hand control to the operators. Those actions can include connecting a wallet and signing requests, sending deposits, or typing in login details and recovery phrases. Its listing by MetaMask and SEAL, two crypto-focused blocklists, points to wallet users as the intended victims. Whatever the route, the loss is the same: funds or account access leave the victim's control, and blockchain transfers cannot be reversed.

Evidence

Six of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain on 2026-10-10: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, Kaspersky and VIPRE. That count is modest, but it is typical of a site only days into its run. The stronger signals come from elsewhere. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL under the phishing category, MetaMask and SEAL block it alongside PhishDestroy, and four AlienVault OTX threat pulses reference it.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-09-24 through GNAME.COM PTE. LTD., and PhishDestroy detected it 15 days later, a short gap that fits a disposable phishing domain. It resolves to 188.114.97.3 on Cloudflare's network (AS13335, US). That address belongs to Cloudflare's proxy rather than the operators' own server. The Let's Encrypt certificate (YE2) is free and issued automatically, so the browser padlock shows only an encrypted connection and says nothing about whether the site is genuine.

What to do

If you connected a wallet to novachange.pro, revoke every token approval it obtained using a reputable approval-checker. Move your remaining assets to a fresh wallet, and treat any seed phrase you typed there as compromised. If you entered a password or 2FA code, change the password wherever you reused it, reset 2FA, and check your account activity. Do not send further "fees" or deposits to recover funds, because recovery offers are a common follow-up scam. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and the proxy, and search logs for users who visited it. Report the site to Cloudflare and the registrar so it can be taken down.
