muserdrop.com poses as MUSOR Drop, a Russian-language Counter-Strike 2 case-opening and skin-upgrade site. The name swaps one letter, "muser" for "musor", to catch players who mistype or click a lookalike link. The page calls itself the "Official Site" for CS2 cases and upgrades. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-09-07, and it was still online with live content on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
Lookalike case-opening sites copy the real site's branding and offer cheap cases, free bonuses or upgrade spins. They then push the visitor to "sign in through Steam" or to top up a balance. The login window on a page like this is usually a fake Steam prompt that sends the username, password and Steam Guard code straight to the operators. With that access, attackers can strip the inventory through trade offers, set up a Steam Web API key to intercept future trades, or lock the owner out entirely. Any money or skins deposited for case openings go to the operators and are not returned.
Evidence
Eight of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-09-20: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, CyRadar, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and Webroot. That is modest coverage, but it is spread across independent vendors. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as phishing (DBL_PHISH), which means many mail filters will block links to it. It also appears in three AlienVault OTX threat pulses and on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-09-04 through NICENIC INTERNATIONAL GROUP CO., LIMITED and was already serving the clone three days later. That short gap fits a site built to start harvesting accounts right away. Traffic resolves to Cloudflare, Inc. (IP 188.114.96.9, located in Canada), which puts Cloudflare's network in front of the actual server.
