How the scam works
The page title pitches easy liquidity provision, the kind of offer that invites a visitor to connect a wallet and deposit tokens into a pool. urlscan.io matched the page to a generic crypto brand profile rather than a single named project, which fits a lookalike DeFi front built to borrow trust from legitimate liquidity platforms. Sites like this typically ask the victim to approve token spending or sign transactions that hand control of assets to the operator, and some also prompt for a recovery phrase. Either way, whatever the victim approves or deposits can be taken.
Evidence
On 2026-09-14, 14 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, including BitDefender, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Emsisoft, Gridinsoft, CRDF and alphaMountain.ai. These detections come from vendors with independent pipelines. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict. The domain is also listed by ScamSniffer, a crypto-focused blocklist, and it appears in 3 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers tracked it independently.
