Overview

mint-firm.org is an impersonation phishing page that greets visitors with the title "Welcome | mint-firm.org LIMITED", presenting itself as an incorporated company. It targets people looking for a crypto or investment service who may trust a business-sounding name. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-06. On 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its content.

How the scam works

Impersonation sites like this borrow the appearance of a legitimate firm, with a corporate name, a "LIMITED" suffix and a polished welcome page, so visitors believe they are dealing with a real, accountable business. The goal is to get victims to sign up, enter login or personal details, or send funds to an account the operators control. Money sent this way is usually unrecoverable, and any credentials or identity documents handed over can be reused for account takeover or follow-up fraud.

Evidence

On 2026-10-10, eight of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, Netcraft, SOCRadar and VIPRE. That count is modest, but these are independent vendors, and Netcraft and Fortinet in particular run dedicated phishing feeds. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL under the spam category. It also appears in five AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which shows other researchers have tied it to malicious activity.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc on 2026-07-16, about 82 days before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap fits an operation that registers a domain and lets it sit before putting it to use. The site runs on 159.100.6.5 in the Ultahost, Inc. network, with the address geolocated to Germany. It uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the padlock in the browser says nothing about whether the company is genuine.
