metamaskcdn-us.framer.website is a phishing page that impersonated MetaMask, hosted as a subdomain on the Framer website builder and aimed at people who use the MetaMask wallet. The name strings together "metamask", "cdn" and "us" so it reads like a regional MetaMask content server rather than a free site-builder page. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-09-17. It has been offline since 2026-09-22 and was still dead with no content at the root when last checked on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
Impersonation pages like this copy MetaMask's look and tell visitors their wallet needs to be verified, restored or updated. The usual next step is a form asking for the secret recovery phrase, or a prompt to connect the wallet and sign a transaction. Either hands the attacker control of the funds: a typed recovery phrase lets them rebuild the wallet on their own device and empty it. The page now shows the title "Site Not Found | Framer", which is Framer's default message for a removed site, while our classification covers the MetaMask impersonation it hosted before that.
Evidence
Only 3 of 90 VirusTotal engines flagged the address in the 2026-09-23 check: ChainPatrol, alphaMountain.ai and Forcepoint ThreatSeeker. That is a low count, but ChainPatrol focuses specifically on crypto phishing. MetaMask's own blocklist lists the subdomain, as do SEAL and PhishDestroy. A listing by the brand being impersonated is a strong confirmation.
Infrastructure
The 2021-11-19 registration date and the registrar, CSC Corporate Domains, Inc., belong to Framer's framer.website parent domain. The scammer did not register either. They only had to create a free subdomain, which is why the page could appear quickly and vanish just as fast. The site was served from an Amazon.com, Inc. network address in the Netherlands, which is the hosting platform's infrastructure.
What to do
If you typed your MetaMask recovery phrase on this page, treat the wallet as compromised. Create a new wallet with a fresh phrase on a clean device and move any remaining assets there immediately. If you connected a wallet or signed anything, revoke token approvals granted around the time of your visit. MetaMask never asks for your recovery phrase on any website. Defenders should block this specific subdomain rather than all of framer.website and report any similar MetaMask-themed Framer subdomains to Framer for removal.
