metagamb.com is an impersonation phishing site that poses as a legitimate crypto service to target wallet users. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-08-05, less than a week after the domain was registered. As of 2026-10-19 the domain was still live and redirecting visitors elsewhere, so the threat has not been taken down.
How the scam works
Impersonation pages copy the look, name and wording of a trusted crypto brand so visitors believe they are on the real service. Once trust is established, the page pushes the victim to connect a wallet, approve a transaction, or type in a recovery phrase or login details. Any of these hands control to the operators. A seed phrase gives them the whole wallet. A signed approval lets them move tokens without asking again. The redirect means the domain can quietly send traffic to whatever page the operators are using at the moment.
Evidence
Three blocklists maintained by crypto-security teams carry this domain: PhishDestroy, MetaMask and SEAL. A listing by MetaMask means the wallet itself can warn users before the page loads. Spamhaus lists it in its domain blocklist under the phishing category. On VirusTotal, 13 of 89 engines flagged it on 2026-09-08, including BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, CRDF and alphaMountain.ai. Three AlienVault OTX threat pulses also reference it.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-07-30 through Fewmoretaps OU, trading as Trustname.com, and was caught six days later. That short gap is typical of disposable phishing domains built for a fast campaign. It resolves to an address on the SKN Subnet & Telecom Ltd network in the United States. The free Let's Encrypt certificate gives it a browser padlock, which only means the connection is encrypted. It says nothing about whether the site is honest.
What to do
If you connected a wallet to metagamb.com, review and revoke any token approvals you granted there right away. If you entered a seed phrase or private key, treat that wallet as compromised and move your remaining funds to a new wallet with a freshly generated phrase. If you typed in an exchange or account password, change it and reset two-factor authentication. Security teams should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and add it to their phishing indicators. Because the site is still redirecting, they should also watch for related domains that appear on the same hosting.
