How the scam works
MetaMask is a self-custody wallet with no online account, so a "Login || Signup" page for it is fake by design. Pages like this typically ask the visitor to "restore" or "verify" a wallet by typing in the Secret Recovery Phrase or private key. Whoever holds that phrase controls the wallet. The operator imports it on their own device and sweeps every token and NFT, and that transfer cannot be reversed. The misspelled subdomain and the lookalike "ś" in the title help it slip past casual inspection and simple keyword filters.
Evidence
On 2026-09-12, the same day PhishDestroy caught it, 15 of 89 VirusTotal engines marked the address as malicious. They include BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Emsisoft, G-Data, alphaMountain.ai and the Vietnamese anti-scam group Chong Lua Dao. MetaMask's own blocklist and the SEAL security alliance list also carry it, so the brand being imitated has confirmed it as a fake.
Infrastructure
The 2013-11-18 registration date and the GoDaddy.com, LLC registrar belong to the parent godaddysites.com platform, not to the scammer. The operator simply created a free subdomain on it. Traffic resolves to Amazon infrastructure in the US, which the site builder runs on. Its GoDaddy-issued certificate comes with the platform automatically, so the padlock in the browser says nothing about whether the page is legitimate.
What to do
If you typed your recovery phrase or private key here, treat the wallet as compromised. Create a new wallet with a fresh phrase on a device you trust and move any remaining assets immediately. Revoking token approvals will not stop someone who holds your phrase. Never enter a recovery phrase on any website, because MetaMask only asks for it inside the extension or app when you restore a wallet. Defenders should block this subdomain, report it to GoDaddy's abuse team, and watch for similar builder-hosted lookalikes that use accented letters in brand names.
