mekong-metlife-bprd.pages.dev is an impersonation phishing page on a free Cloudflare Pages subdomain. Its name pairs "mekong" with "metlife", a combination meant to look like a legitimate branded site to anyone who receives the link. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-11. The site has been offline since 2026-09-19, and as of 2026-10-19 its content remains blocked by the provider.
How the scam works
Impersonation pages copy the look and wording of a trusted brand. The link usually arrives by email, SMS or chat, and the page asks the visitor to sign in, verify an account or submit personal and payment details. Whatever is typed goes straight to the operator, who can use it for account takeover, fraud or resale. The page now displays the title "Suspected Phishing | Cloudflare", which is Cloudflare's own warning interstitial rather than the original lure. We classified the page underneath as impersonation phishing.
Evidence
Six of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain in a check on 2026-09-20: BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, G-Data, Phishtank and Sophos. That number is modest, but the flags come from several unrelated vendors plus a community phishing feed. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and matched the "genericcloudflare" brand signature, which fits the warning page now in place. PhishDestroy lists the domain on its blocklist.
Infrastructure
The subdomain was created on 2026-09-10, one day before PhishDestroy detected it. That pattern fits throwaway phishing set up for a short campaign. It was issued through Cloudflare Pages and served from Cloudflare, Inc. network space geolocated to Canada. Free hosting on pages.dev lets operators publish quickly under a domain that already carries a trusted certificate. Because of that, the padlock in the browser says nothing about who runs the site.
What to do
If you entered a password on this page, change it right away on the real service. Change it on any other account where you reused it, and turn on two-factor authentication. If you submitted card or banking details, contact your bank to block the card and watch your statements. Be wary of follow-up calls or messages that cite the details you entered, because these are a common second stage of this kind of scam. Defenders should block the subdomain and search mail and proxy logs for clicks since 2026-09-10. They should also warn staff and customers about lookalike links on pages.dev that use brand names.
