ledger-us-com-start.pages.dev is a phishing page impersonating Ledger, the hardware wallet maker. It used the title "Get Started with Ledger Hardware Wallet" to look like the official onboarding page a new owner would visit when setting up a device. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-08-31. The hosting provider has since blocked the content, and the site has been offline since 2026-09-11, which was still the case when we last checked on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
Fake "Get Started" pages target the moment a buyer unboxes a Ledger and searches for setup instructions. Pages of this type usually walk the visitor through convincing setup steps and then ask them to type in their 24-word recovery phrase, or they push a counterfeit Ledger Live download that does the same thing. Anyone who enters that phrase hands over full control of the wallet. The attacker can then empty every account derived from it, and the hardware device offers no protection once the phrase is exposed.
Evidence
When VirusTotal last scanned the domain on 2026-09-11, none of its 89 engines flagged it. That is common for freshly deployed phishing pages and should not be read as a sign that the site is safe. The classification is backed by independent listings on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists alongside PhishDestroy. Because of those listings, wallet users running MetaMask's protections would have been warned before reaching the page.
Infrastructure
The page sat on a free Cloudflare Pages subdomain. That gave it Cloudflare's trusted network, served from an address geolocated to Canada, and a valid HTTPS certificate at no cost to the operator. The registration dates to 2025-09-19, almost a year before PhishDestroy detected it. The name stacks "ledger", "us", "com" and "start" to mimic an official address, a pattern meant to fool people who only glance at the browser bar.
What to do
If you typed your recovery phrase into this page, treat the wallet as compromised. Set up a device with a brand-new phrase and move any remaining funds there immediately, because changing the PIN does not help. If you downloaded software from the site, uninstall it, scan the computer, and get Ledger Live only from Ledger's official channels. Remember that Ledger never asks for your recovery phrase on any website or app. Security teams should block the hostname, add it to their phishing feeds, and watch for similar Ledger-themed subdomains on free hosting platforms.
