PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

ledger-livee-cloud.pages.dev is a phishing page impersonating Ledger. The doubled "e" in "livee" plays on the Ledger Live app name, and the target is hardware wallet owners. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-08-31. The site has been offline since 2026-09-11, and it was still dead when last checked on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Ledger impersonation pages usually pose as a Ledger Live update, a sync step or a security check. They then ask the visitor to type in their 24-word recovery phrase. Anyone holding that phrase can rebuild the wallet on their own device and move every asset out, so the hardware wallet's protection is gone the moment the words are submitted. The page title now reads "Suspected Phishing | Cloudflare". That is the hosting provider's warning interstitial, not Ledger-branded content, which shows the provider has blocked the page.

Evidence

On 2026-09-13, 12 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. They included BitDefender, ESET, Kaspersky, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Emsisoft and alphaMountain.ai. Most engines stayed silent, but these vendors are well-established and independent of each other. The domain also appears on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists alongside PhishDestroy, so wallet software and crypto security teams reached the same verdict separately.

Infrastructure

The project dates to 2025-09-29, almost eleven months before PhishDestroy detected it. A free subdomain on Cloudflare Pages costs nothing to set up and borrows the platform's trusted address. The page resolved to Cloudflare, Inc. infrastructure located in Canada. Cloudflare has since blocked the content, and that block is why the page no longer serves anything.

What to do

If you entered your recovery phrase on this page, treat the wallet as compromised. Set up a new Ledger, or reset your current one, with a fresh phrase, then move any remaining funds to it right away. Never reuse the old words. If you only browsed and typed nothing, no action is needed. Remember that Ledger never asks for your recovery phrase through any website or app. Security teams should block the domain, watch for other pages.dev subdomains using "ledger-live" lookalike spellings, and report new ones to Cloudflare and to the MetaMask and SEAL lists.
