ledger--live-app.pages.dev is a phishing page posing as Ledger Live, the companion app for Ledger hardware wallets. It targets people looking to download or reconnect Ledger Live. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-01. The site has been offline since 2026-09-11 after the hosting provider blocked its content, and it was still down on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
Fake Ledger Live sites rely on the doubled hyphen and the word "app" to pass as an official download or support page. They typically tell visitors their wallet needs syncing, updating or recovering. They then ask for the 24-word recovery phrase, or push a counterfeit Ledger Live installer that requests the same phrase. Anyone who types those words hands over full control of every account the device secures, and the attacker can empty them from anywhere without touching the hardware. The page title now reads "Suspected Phishing | Cloudflare", which is the provider's warning interstitial, while our classification is a Ledger impersonation page.
Evidence
urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict. Its only brand match was a generic Cloudflare page, consistent with the warning screen that replaced the original content. The domain is listed by PhishDestroy, MetaMask and SEAL, three independent crypto-focused blocklists. VirusTotal showed 0 detections out of 89 engines on 2026-09-13. That check came two days after the site went offline, so an empty result there should not be read as a sign that the page was safe.
Infrastructure
The page was built on Cloudflare Pages, which gives anyone a free subdomain under pages.dev with no domain purchase. The pages.dev name lends a convenient air of legitimacy. Its creation date is 2025-09-12, almost a year before PhishDestroy detected it, and it went offline ten days after that detection. Traffic was served from Cloudflare, Inc. infrastructure located in Canada, behind a Google Trust Services certificate. That certificate is standard for the platform and says nothing about the operator.
What to do
If you entered your Ledger recovery phrase on this site, treat the phrase as compromised. Initialize a new phrase on your Ledger, and move all funds from the old accounts to addresses derived from the new one immediately. If you installed anything downloaded from this page, uninstall it, scan the computer, and reinstall Ledger Live only from Ledger's official website. Remember that Ledger will never ask for your recovery phrase online. Defenders should block the domain and watch for lookalike Ledger Live subdomains on free hosting platforms, reporting new ones to the hosting provider.
