kraken-link-official.info is a phishing page that impersonates the Kraken brand. It targets Russian-speaking users with the title "Официальное зеркало Kraken Onion через Tor. Безопасный вход." ("Official Kraken Onion mirror via Tor. Secure login."). PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-25. The site went offline on 2026-09-28, and its DNS was still inactive at the last check on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
The page claims to be a trusted "official mirror" and promises a "secure login." That pitch works on people who search for a working link instead of using a known address. A fake mirror like this copies the real login screen and captures whatever the visitor types, usually a username, password and sometimes a one-time code. The attacker then uses those details to take over the real account and empty its balance. The Russian title advertises an onion-site mirror reached through Tor rather than the Kraken exchange itself, but we classified the page as Kraken impersonation phishing.
Evidence
Seven of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain at the 2026-09-27 check: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, ESET, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, SOCRadar and URLQuery. That count is modest, but it comes from unrelated vendors. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and identified Kraken as the targeted brand. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as phishing, and it appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses alongside the PhishDestroy blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc on 2026-09-22, three days before PhishDestroy detected it. It was dead six days after registration. That throwaway lifespan is typical of short phishing runs that rotate through fresh domains. The site sat behind Cloudflare, Inc. on an address geolocated to Canada, so the real origin server stayed hidden behind the proxy.
What to do
If you entered a login on this page, change that password right away, along with any other account that reuses it. Enable or reset two-factor authentication with an authenticator app, then review the account's recent logins, withdrawals and API keys for anything you did not set up. Reach mirrors and services only through addresses you have verified yourself, never through search-result "official link" pages. Defenders should block the domain and look for its relatives: newly registered names that pair "kraken" with words like "link," "official" or "mirror" deserve the same treatment.
