How the scam works
Fake fund-manager sites copy a legitimate firm's name, branding and corporate tone. They then pitch investment products that the real company never offered through that domain. Victims are typically asked to open an account and submit identity documents and personal details. Next comes a deposit, made by bank transfer or cryptocurrency. Some operations show a dashboard with invented returns, and when the victim tries to withdraw, new "taxes" or "release fees" appear. The victim loses the deposited money, any fees paid afterward, and the identity information handed over during onboarding.
Evidence
On 2026-09-21, 13 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. The vendors included ESET, Kaspersky, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, alphaMountain.ai, Gridinsoft, CyRadar and ADMINUSLabs. Agreement among that many established vendors is a strong independent signal for a site this young. The domain also appears in six AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have tied it to malicious activity. It is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Namecheap on 2026-01-08, roughly eight months before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap suggests the domain was registered well in advance and held before it was put to use. The site sits behind Cloudflare's network, with the visible address geolocating to Canada. This tells the reader about the proxy, not where the operators or their actual server are. Its Google Trust Services certificate is a routine automated one, so the browser padlock says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.
