PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

ipronipotidifanfulla.it is an impersonation phishing page that urlscan.io links to WeTransfer and to a generic email login. It targets people who receive what looks like a shared-file notice and are asked to sign in before downloading. PhishDestroy first flagged the domain on 2026-09-23, and it was still online as of 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

WeTransfer lures usually arrive by email and claim a document or invoice is waiting. The link opens a familiar-looking download page, then asks for an email address and password, sometimes styled as a webmail login. Those credentials go straight to the operator, who can take over the mailbox, reset other accounts tied to it, and send the same lure to the victim's contacts. When last loaded, the page title read "Briefly unavailable for scheduled maintenance," a WordPress-style notice that differs from the WeTransfer impersonation we classified.

Evidence

urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and detected WeTransfer and generic email branding on the page. On VirusTotal, 12 of 91 engines flagged the domain as of 2026-10-03, including alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue, Lionic and MalwareURL. That count is modest, so many security tools may still let the site load. Besides PhishDestroy, the domain also appears on PhishFeed.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2014-11-13 through Aruba s.p.a., nearly twelve years before PhishDestroy detected it. That makes it far older than the throwaway domains most phishing runs on, a reminder that a long-established name is no guarantee of safety. It resolves to 80.211.106.245 on Aruba S.p.A.'s network in Italy. It uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the browser padlock only means the connection is encrypted and says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.

What to do

If you entered an email password here, change it now from a trusted device, along with any account that reuses it. Turn on two-factor authentication, sign out all active sessions, and check your mailbox for new forwarding rules or filters an attacker may have added. Warn your contacts, since compromised inboxes are often used to resend the same fake file share. Defenders should block the domain and its IP at mail and web gateways, search mail logs for messages linking to it, and reset credentials for any user who clicked through.
