Overview

home-kalshi.com is an impersonation phishing page posing as Kalshi, the prediction market where users trade on the outcome of real-world events. It copies Kalshi's own branding, presenting itself as "Kalshi - Prediction Market for Trading the Future," and targets traders who might mistake the "home-" prefix for an official entry point. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-19. As of 2026-10-19 the domain was still live and redirecting visitors.

How the scam works

Clones like this rely on a convincing copy of the real platform's landing page, reached through search ads, social posts or direct messages that link to the lookalike domain. A visitor who believes they are on Kalshi is asked to sign in, which hands their email, password and sometimes one-time codes to the operators. Some clones instead prompt a deposit or a wallet connection. Anything entered or sent on this page goes to the scammers, not to Kalshi.

Evidence

Eleven of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain at the 2026-09-29 check. Vendors that flagged it include BitDefender, Kaspersky, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Gridinsoft, CRDF and alphaMountain.ai. urlscan.io rated the page malicious and identified Kalshi as the impersonated brand. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as phishing, and it appears on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists alongside PhishDestroy's own. Its presence on the two wallet-focused lists suggests crypto users are among its targets. It is also referenced in an AlienVault OTX threat pulse.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-09-12 through NICENIC INTERNATIONAL GROUP CO., LIMITED and was already flagged a week later. That short gap is typical of a site set up to run a campaign immediately. It sits behind Cloudflare's network in the US, which masks the real origin server. It also uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the browser padlock says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.

What to do

If you signed in on this page, change your Kalshi password right away and any matching passwords used elsewhere. Then reset two-factor authentication and review recent account activity and withdrawal settings. If you sent a deposit or connected a wallet here, move any remaining funds to a fresh wallet and contact Kalshi support with the transaction details. In future, reach Kalshi only by typing its official address or using a saved bookmark. Security teams should block home-kalshi.com at DNS and proxy level and search mail and chat logs for links to it.
