PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

hiddenherstories.org is a Kraken impersonation phishing page. It presents itself in Russian as the "official link" and "working mirror" for Kraken, targeting Russian-speaking users looking for a way into the service. The domain name has no connection to Kraken. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-15, and it was still online with its content live on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

The page title, roughly "KRAKEN OFFICIAL LINK IN ONION ⭐️ WORKING MIRROR OF THE KRAKEN SITE ON THE DARKNET", is built to catch people searching for a trustworthy entry point. Pages like this promise a verified mirror. They then send visitors to a lookalike login page where usernames, passwords and one-time codes are captured, or where deposits go straight to the operators. Anyone who logs in or funds an account through such a mirror risks losing access to the account and any money sent. The title advertises an onion mirror of a Kraken darknet site rather than the Kraken exchange, and we classify the page as Kraken impersonation.

Evidence

Independent detection is thin. On 2026-09-29, only 3 of 91 VirusTotal engines (CRDF, Fortinet and SOCRadar) flagged the domain, so most security tools will not warn a visitor. PhishDestroy is the only blocklist listing it. The domain appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which shows other researchers have linked it to malicious activity.
