gbwfwg.com poses as Temu, the discount marketplace, and targets bargain hunters who expect Temu-level prices. Its page title spells the brand in small superscript letters, "ᵀ ᴱ ᴹ ᵁ", which looks like the real name at a glance in a browser tab. PhishDestroy first flagged the domain on 2026-10-06. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its storefront content.
How the scam works
Fake Temu storefronts copy the retailer's look and push heavy discounts so visitors move quickly to checkout. The checkout is the trap: shoppers type in card numbers, billing and shipping addresses, phone numbers and sometimes Temu login details, and all of it goes straight to the operators. Orders never ship. The stolen card data can be charged again or resold, and the personal details feed follow-up scams that pretend to be delivery or refund notices.
Evidence
urlscan.io rated the site malicious, recognised Temu branding on the page and flagged it as a fake shop, which independently matches our classification. On 2026-10-07, 14 of 92 VirusTotal engines detected it, including BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Emsisoft, CRDF and alphaMountain.ai. Fourteen detections from that many established vendors within a day of our first sighting is a strong early consensus. The domain also appears in three AlienVault OTX threat pulses and on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-09-23 through TuringSign Inc. d/b/a Cosmotown, 13 days before PhishDestroy detected it. That short gap is typical of throwaway shop domains set up for one campaign. The site runs on 182.16.39.227 in the Netsec Limited network (NETSEC-HK) in Hong Kong. It has a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the padlock in the address bar says nothing about whether the shop is genuine.
What to do
If you paid on this site, call your card issuer now: block the card, dispute the charge as fraud and ask for a replacement number. If you entered a Temu password, change it on the real Temu app or site, turn on two-step verification, and change the same password anywhere else you reused it. Expect follow-up messages about "failed delivery" or "refunds" that use your leaked details, and do not answer them. Security teams should block the domain and its hosting IP, and search mail and proxy logs for users who visited it.
