fortmus.com is an impersonation phishing site that presents itself as a legitimate service to win the trust of crypto users. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-09-19. On 2026-10-19 the domain was still online and serving content. The page title reads "403 · Forbidden — SilkGuard," which looks like an access-denied notice rather than a branded lure, but we classify the site as impersonation phishing.
How the scam works
Impersonation pages copy the look and wording of a trusted brand so visitors believe they are on the real site. Victims usually arrive through ads, search results or direct messages. The page then asks for logins, personal details or wallet credentials, and anything typed in goes straight to the operators. With those details they can take over the account or drain the funds behind it. A forbidden-style title, as shown here, does not mean the site is harmless or inactive.
Evidence
On 2026-09-26, VirusTotal showed 6 of 91 engines flagging the domain. The vendors were alphaMountain.ai, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, LevelBlue and SOCRadar. That count is modest, so many security tools may still let the site through. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as a spam source, which suggests it is being promoted through unsolicited messages. AlienVault OTX links it to 4 threat pulses, and PhishDestroy carries it on our blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-08-28 through Gname.com Pte. Ltd. We picked it up 22 days later, a short gap that is typical of throwaway domains set up for a single campaign. It resolves to 109.238.86.76 on the UFO TECHNOLOGIES LIMITED network in the United Kingdom. The site uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate, so the browser padlock only means the connection is encrypted and says nothing about who runs the site.
What to do
If you entered a password on fortmus.com, change it at once on the real service and on any other site where you reused it. Then turn on app-based two-factor authentication. If you typed a wallet recovery phrase or private key, treat that wallet as compromised and move your funds to a newly created wallet. Watch your accounts for logins or transactions you don't recognize, and report the site to the brand it impersonates. Security teams should block the domain and its IP, look for past traffic to it in their logs, and filter spam that references it.
