It targets people who want to swap one coin for another quickly and without an account, which is exactly the audience FixedFloat serves. The brand name sits in a subdomain of an unrelated domain, payffhub.com, to look like a genuine FixedFloat address. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-19, and the site was still online and serving its content on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

On an instant exchange, you choose a pair, enter the address where you want to receive coins, and send your deposit to an address the site gives you. On a cloned exchange like this one, that deposit address belongs to the operators, so the coins you send are simply kept and nothing arrives at your receiving address. Victims typically lose the full amount of every deposit. Some fake exchanges then ask for extra "fees" or a second transfer to release a stuck swap, which only adds to the loss.

Evidence

On 2026-09-29, 16 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, including BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Emsisoft, alphaMountain.ai, CRDF and CyRadar. That is a solid cross-vendor consensus for a page this new. The domain is also on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists alongside PhishDestroy, so wallet-side warnings already exist for users of those tools.

Infrastructure

The parent domain was registered through Dynadot Inc on 2026-08-30, just 20 days before PhishDestroy detected the clone, a short gap typical of a site built for a campaign. It sits behind Cloudflare in the US, which hides the real origin server from visitors. Its certificate comes from Google Trust Services, so the browser padlock appears normally and says nothing about whether the exchange is real.

What to do

Do not send any deposit through this site, and do not pay any "fee" or extra amount promised to release a pending swap. If you already sent coins, record the transaction hash, the deposit address shown and the time, then report them to the exchange or wallet you sent from and to local authorities; on-chain transfers cannot be reversed, so act quickly in case funds reach a service that can freeze them. Reach FixedFloat only by typing its official address yourself or using a saved bookmark. Defenders should block payffhub.com and all of its subdomains and watch for other brand-named subdomains on new domains.
