How the scam works
Fake Marketplace car ads usually reach buyers through a shared link in chat or a listing that leads off Facebook to a page like this one. The copy looks like a real listing and invites the buyer to sign in with Facebook to see details or contact the seller, or to reserve the vehicle with a payment. Anything typed into the fake login goes to the operators, who can take over the account and reuse it to run more fake ads or message the victim's friends. A buyer who pays a deposit, delivery fee or full price loses that money, because the car does not exist.

Eighteen of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-10-06, including BitDefender, ESET, Emsisoft, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, Google Safe Browsing and Gridinsoft. Google Safe Browsing lists it as SOCIAL_ENGINEERING, so Chrome, Firefox and Safari users should see a warning page. urlscan.io rated it malicious and detected the Facebook brand on the page. The site is listed on the PhishDestroy and PhishFeed blocklists.
Infrastructure
The parent domain bringolf2you.com was registered on 2024-07-09 through Dreamscape Networks International Pte Ltd, more than two years before this phishing subdomain was caught. That gap fits an older domain being reused or repurposed to host disposable lure hostnames. The site runs on Dreamscape Networks Limited infrastructure in Australia. Its Let's Encrypt certificate only means the connection is encrypted. The padlock says nothing about whether the site is genuine.
What to do
If you entered your Facebook password here, change it immediately from the real app or site, turn on two-factor authentication, and check active sessions and recovery email and phone for changes. Reuse of that password anywhere else means changing it there too. If you sent money for a vehicle, contact your bank or payment provider now to try to reverse it, and report the listing and seller to Facebook.
