PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

edabnb.com is an impersonation phishing page that presents itself as "Ecoin Digital Asset," a crypto trading and asset brand. It targets people looking to buy, hold or trade digital assets. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-11. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its content.

How the scam works

Sites like this borrow the name and look of a digital asset platform so visitors trust them with their accounts and funds. The usual sequence is a sign-up or login form. Victims are then pushed to deposit crypto or enter credentials and wallet details. Balances shown on such a dashboard are fiction, and money sent in goes straight to the operators. Anything typed into the forms, including logins, email addresses and recovery information, can be reused to take over the victim's real accounts.

Evidence

Detection is still thin. When VirusTotal checked the domain on 2026-09-25, 4 of 91 engines flagged it: Bfore.Ai PreCrime, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. ScamSniffer, a crypto-focused blocklist, lists it alongside PhishDestroy. Three AlienVault OTX threat pulses reference the domain. A clean result from most scanners should not be read as a sign the site is safe.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-05-23 through Gname.com Pte. Ltd., about 111 days before PhishDestroy caught it. That gap gave the operators months to build and run the page unnoticed. Traffic is routed through Cloudflare, Inc. on an address geolocated to Canada, which hides where the real server sits. The Let's Encrypt certificate only means the padlock appears in the browser. It says nothing about who runs the site.

What to do

Do not deposit funds or sign in at edabnb.com. If you already sent crypto, stop sending more and refuse any "tax," "unlock" or "withdrawal fee" request, since these are a common follow-up to extract additional payments. Save transaction hashes and screenshots, then report the theft to your exchange and local police. If you entered a password, change it everywhere you reused it, enable app-based 2FA and watch for phishing emails aimed at the address you gave. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level and add it to mail and web filters.
