eailupdate.framer.website is an impersonation phishing page hosted as a subdomain on the Framer website builder. Its name, a misspelling of "email update," points to a lure aimed at people who believe their mailbox or account needs attention. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-08-20. The site has been offline since 2026-09-07 and was still dead with no content at its root when last checked on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
Pages like this typically arrive through a message warning that an email account must be updated, verified or reconfigured, then present a branded-looking form that copies a trusted provider. Whatever the victim types, usually an email address and password and sometimes a one-time code, goes straight to the operator. A stolen mailbox is especially valuable because it can be used to reset passwords for other services, including exchange and wallet accounts. The current page title reads "Site Not Found | Framer," while we classified the domain as impersonation phishing; the title reflects the page's present takedown state.
Evidence
On 2026-08-29, 16 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the address. The vendors included alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, ESET, Emsisoft, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet and G-Data. Several of these vendors feed browser and endpoint protection, so many users would have been warned before the page loaded. PhishDestroy lists the domain on its own blocklist.
Infrastructure
The operator did not register a domain. Instead they used a free Framer subdomain, a low-cost setup that borrows the reputation of a legitimate builder and needs no registrar paperwork. Traffic resolved to Amazon infrastructure in the Netherlands at 31.43.161.6, which is the platform's shared hosting rather than a server the attacker controlled. The page went dark 18 days after we first detected it.
What to do
If you entered an email password on this page, change it immediately from the provider's own site and sign out all other sessions. Turn on app-based or hardware-key two-factor authentication, and check your mailbox for forwarding rules or recovery details you did not set. Then change the password on any exchange, wallet or other account that shares that password or uses that inbox for resets. Defenders should block the hostname, search mail logs for messages linking to framer.website subdomains with update or verification themes, and report new instances to Framer for takedown.
