Overview

digitalglobetrust.com is an impersonation phishing page dressed up as a CFD brokerage, with the title "digitalglobetrust | CFD Trading — Trading on Stocks, Gold, Oil, Indices". It targets retail investors who want quick exposure to commodities and indices without going through a regulated broker. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-11. The site went offline that same day, and its DNS was still inactive when we last checked on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

The page title presents a CFD trading broker, while our classification is impersonation phishing. Sites of this kind copy the look and language of a professional trading desk, including live-looking charts, account tiers and promises of leveraged returns on gold, oil and stock indices. Visitors are pushed to open an account, hand over identity details and deposit funds, often in crypto. The balance on the dashboard climbs on paper, but any attempt to withdraw triggers new demands for taxes, verification charges or "release fees". The money deposited is gone, and any ID documents uploaded can be reused for further fraud.

Evidence

Seven of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain on 2026-09-11: ChainPatrol, alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, Netcraft and Yandex Safebrowsing. The count is modest, but the mix of crypto-focused and general web-threat vendors points to the same conclusion. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and matched the page to a generic scam template. Beyond PhishDestroy, the domain is listed by MetaMask and SEAL, so wallet users relying on those protections would have been warned.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-06-23 through HOSTINGER operations, UAB, about 80 days before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap matches the usual pattern of standing up a fake platform and recruiting victims before it attracts attention. It was hosted on Hostinger International's network, with the server located in France. The domain stopped resolving on the same day it was flagged, which suggests a short operating window.

What to do

If you opened an account or deposited funds, stop all further payments. No genuine broker requires a withdrawal fee to release your own money. Gather your transaction IDs, payment receipts and any chat logs, then report them to your bank or exchange and to local police or financial-fraud authorities. If you uploaded a passport or ID, watch for identity misuse and ignore "fund recovery" offers, which often come from the same scammers. Defenders should block the domain and the hosting IP, and search mail and proxy logs for traffic that reached it before 2026-09-11.
