PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

darknet-kraken.pages.dev is an impersonation phishing page that borrows the Kraken name. It targets people searching for working Kraken access links. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-06, the same day it was set up. The site has been offline since 2026-09-16 after its hosting provider blocked the content, and it was still dead at the last check on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

The page title, "Darknet Kraken - oficial links on mp market," presents the site as a directory of official mirror links for a darknet market called Kraken. Our classification is impersonation of the Kraken brand. Pages like this sit between a searcher and the real service and offer "verified" links that lead to look-alike login or deposit pages. Whatever the visitor types there, including usernames, passwords, 2FA codes or funds sent to a displayed address, goes straight to the operator.

Evidence

When VirusTotal checked the site on 2026-09-17, 9 of 89 engines flagged it. The flagging vendors included ChainPatrol, alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, Kaspersky and Lionic. Most engines did not flag it. Even so, crypto-focused feeds and established security vendors reached the same verdict independently. The domain is also on the PhishDestroy, MetaMask and SEAL blocklists, so wallet users running those protections would have been warned.

Infrastructure

The site was registered and detected on the same day, 2026-09-06, which points to a short-lived page that was put up quickly. It ran as a free Cloudflare Pages subdomain on Cloudflare, Inc. network space geolocated to Canada. The Google Trust Services certificate was issued automatically by the platform, so the padlock in the browser said nothing about whether the site could be trusted. It survived only ten days before the provider took it down.

What to do

If you entered a username, password or 2FA code on this page, change that password now on the genuine service and anywhere else you reused it. Then reset your 2FA, review active sessions and log out any devices you don't recognize. If you sent funds to an address shown on the site, assume they are gone. Report the transaction to your wallet provider or exchange and keep the transaction details. Defenders should block the domain and watch for other pages.dev subdomains that use the same "official links" wording.
