PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

danaindonesiaa-nel.netlify.app is an impersonation phishing page posing as DANA, the Indonesian digital wallet. Its title copies DANA's own slogan, "#Satu Dompet Untuk Semua Transaksi" ("one wallet for all transactions"), in bold styled characters so it looks official in a browser tab or a shared link preview. PhishDestroy first saw it on 2026-08-31. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its content.

How the scam works

Fake DANA pages usually spread through WhatsApp, Telegram or social media messages that promise a bonus, cashback, prize or account upgrade. The victim is then asked to confirm their phone number, DANA PIN and the one-time code that DANA sends by SMS. With those three items, the operator can log into the real DANA account and move out the balance before the owner notices. The doubled "a" in "danaindonesiaa" and the free hosting subdomain are signs that this is not DANA's own site.

Evidence

16 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the page as of 2026-09-12. The vendors include BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Emsisoft, alphaMountain.ai, CyRadar and Criminal IP. A spread of independent vendors like this points to a confirmed phishing page rather than a single false positive. urlscan.io returned a malicious verdict and detected the DANA brand on the page. The domain is also listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.

Infrastructure

The page is a subdomain of Netlify's free static-hosting platform, not a domain the operator registered. Throwaway pages like this can be set up in minutes and replaced just as quickly after a takedown. It is served from Amazon infrastructure in Germany at 63.176.8.218. The DigiCert certificate is Netlify's standard platform certificate, so the padlock in the address bar says nothing about whether the page is genuine.

What to do

If you entered your phone number, PIN or an SMS code here, open the official DANA app now and change your PIN. Check your recent transactions and contact DANA customer service to secure or freeze the account. Never share a DANA OTP with anyone, and treat any later messages promising refunds or prizes as follow-up scams. Security teams should block the hostname, report it to Netlify for removal, and warn Indonesian-speaking users that DANA promotions arriving through chat links are a common lure.
