PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-19. It was still online with its content live on 2026-10-19, a full month later, so it remains an active danger.
How the scam works
The page carries the title CoinP and copies the look of a real crypto brand so that visitors trust it at first glance. Sites like this usually ask victims to sign in, enter a recovery phrase, connect a wallet, or deposit funds into what appears to be their account. Whatever is typed or approved goes straight to the operators. Victims can lose account credentials, wallet control, or deposited crypto, and blockchain transfers cannot be reversed.
Evidence
Nine of 91 VirusTotal engines flag the domain as of 2026-09-29. Named vendors include BitDefender, Kaspersky, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Google Safe Browsing, alphaMountain.ai, CRDF and Gridinsoft. Google Safe Browsing labels it social engineering, so Chrome and other browsers that use it should show a warning. Beyond PhishDestroy, the domain is blocked by MetaMask and the SEAL crypto-security list. It also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through GoDaddy on 2026-09-17, just two days before we detected it. That short gap is typical of throwaway domains bought for a single campaign. Traffic passes through Cloudflare's network, with the visible address placed in Canada, which hides the real origin server. A free Let's Encrypt certificate gives it the padlock icon, so the padlock says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.
What to do
Do not log in, deposit, or connect a wallet on coinpssu.com. If you entered a password there, change it on the genuine service and any site where you reuse it, and turn on app-based 2FA. If you entered a recovery phrase, treat that wallet as compromised and move your assets to a new wallet immediately. If you connected a wallet, revoke any token approvals granted to unfamiliar addresses. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and the proxy, and send abuse reports to GoDaddy and Cloudflare.
