PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

coinpssb.com is an impersonation phishing page that presents itself under the title "CoinP" and targets cryptocurrency users who believe they are dealing with a legitimate crypto platform. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-19. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its phishing content.

How the scam works

The page borrows the CoinP name so visitors arriving from ads, social media messages or search results assume they are on the real service. Schemes like this usually push the victim to sign in, fund an account, or connect a wallet. Whatever is entered goes to the operators, whether that is account credentials, deposited crypto, or a wallet signature that lets them move assets. Money sent to such a site is effectively gone, and repeat requests for "verification" or "withdrawal fees" only add to the loss.

Evidence

Nine of 91 VirusTotal engines classify the domain as malicious, including Google Safe Browsing, Kaspersky, BitDefender, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, alphaMountain.ai, CRDF and Gridinsoft (checked 2026-09-29). Google Safe Browsing labels it SOCIAL_ENGINEERING, so Chrome and other browsers that use it show a deceptive-site warning. MetaMask and the SEAL security alliance block it alongside PhishDestroy, which means wallet users get an independent warning as well. Four AlienVault OTX threat pulses also reference it.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through GoDaddy.com, LLC on 2026-09-17, only two days before PhishDestroy detected it. That gap is typical of a site built to deceive from day one rather than a legitimate business that was later compromised. Traffic passes through Cloudflare, with the IP geolocating to Canada, so the real origin server stays hidden behind the proxy.

What to do

If you entered a password on coinpssb.com, change it on the genuine service and on any account that shares it, then turn on app-based two-factor authentication. If you connected a wallet or signed a transaction, revoke token approvals with a trusted approval-checker and move remaining assets to a fresh wallet. Do not send more funds to recover a deposit, and ignore anyone who offers to retrieve lost crypto for a fee. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level, report it to GoDaddy and Cloudflare, and search mail and chat logs for links to it.
