checkerfn.com is an impersonation phishing site. It passes itself off as a legitimate service so visitors will trust it with their account details. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-06, less than a month after the domain was created. As of 2026-10-19 the domain still responded, but its DNS no longer pointed to active content.
How the scam works
Impersonation pages copy the look and wording of a service the victim already uses. They then ask the visitor to sign in, verify an account or run a "check", which hands over credentials or personal details to the operators. Stolen logins are then used to take over the real account, resell access or launch further fraud from it. The page itself carries only the generic title "Loading", which does not name any brand, while our classification is impersonation phishing.
Evidence
On 2026-10-08, VirusTotal showed 6 of 92 engines flagging the domain: alphaMountain.ai, Bfore.Ai PreCrime, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft and SOCRadar. That is a modest count, but the vendors are independent of one another and include predictive scoring services that catch fresh phishing domains early. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL as spam. It also appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have tied it to malicious activity as well.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-09-09 through Gname.com Pte. Ltd. and was caught 27 days later, a short lifespan typical of disposable phishing domains. It is hosted at 46.29.26.38 on the MSROBITRADERS-AS-AP network (M/S ROBI TRADERS, registered in Bangladesh), with the address located in Finland. Its Let's Encrypt certificate gives the site a browser padlock, but the padlock only means the connection is encrypted. It says nothing about who runs the site.
What to do
If you entered a username, email or password on checkerfn.com, change that password right away on the genuine service. Change it anywhere else you reused it too. Turn on two-factor authentication, sign out of all active sessions, and review recent account activity for logins or changes you did not make. Watch for follow-up phishing that cites details you typed into the page. Defenders should block the domain and its hosting IP at the DNS and proxy layer, and search logs for users who visited it after 2026-09-09.
