bright-gateway.com is an impersonation phishing page. It borrows the look and identity of a legitimate service so visitors trust it with their credentials or wallet. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-23. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its content, so anyone reaching it today meets a working trap.
How the scam works
Impersonation sites like this copy a real brand's design, wording and login flow, then wait for traffic from search ads, social posts, direct messages or lookalike links. A victim who believes they are on the genuine site types a password, a one-time code or a recovery phrase, or approves a wallet connection. The operator captures that input and uses it to take over the account or move the funds. Losses usually happen within minutes and cannot be reversed.
Evidence
On 2026-10-03, 16 of 91 VirusTotal engines classified the domain as malicious. The vendors included alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, Chong Lua Dao, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data and Gridinsoft. Those are separate security companies reaching the same verdict, which goes well beyond a single report. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses, and it is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc on 2025-11-11, about ten months before it came to our attention. A long gap like that often means a name was held in reserve before being put to use. The site sits behind Cloudflare, with an edge address geolocated to Canada, so the real origin server is hidden from view. Its certificate comes from Google Trust Services. The padlock in the browser therefore says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.
What to do
If you entered a password on this site, change it immediately on the genuine service and on any account that reuses it. Then reset two-factor authentication and review active sessions. If you typed a seed phrase, treat that wallet as lost and move any remaining assets to a new wallet created from a fresh phrase. If you connected a wallet or signed anything, revoke the approvals granted to unfamiliar contracts with a token-approval checker, and watch for unexpected transfers. Defenders should block the domain at DNS, proxy and email gateways and search their logs for past visits. Reports to the impersonated brand and to Cloudflare's abuse channel help speed a takedown.
