How the scam works
Fake bank portals like this one copy the look and wording of a real bank's login page, then wait for victims who arrive through texts, emails or search ads. Visitors are asked for their username and password, and often a one-time code, card number or security answers as well. Whatever they type goes straight to the operators, who can use it to log in to the real account, move money or reset access before the owner notices. The look-alike prefix in the hostname is meant to pass the brief check most people give an address bar on a phone.
Evidence
On 2026-09-29, 13 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the site. They include alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data, Gridinsoft and Hunt.io Intelligence. That is a minority of engines, but the flags come from independent vendors that broadly agree. urlscan.io rated the page malicious and matched it to a generic banking template, which fits a bank impersonation. It is listed on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
Infrastructure
The parent domain was registered on 2025-12-16 through Global Domain Group LLC, about nine months before PhishDestroy flagged it. Hosting a deceptive bank-name subdomain on an older, unrelated domain is a common way to make a phishing address look less new. The site is served from the Aquiryn LLC network in the US. Its Let's Encrypt certificate gives it a padlock icon, which shows only that the connection is encrypted, not that the bank is real.
What to do
If you entered credentials here, change your online banking password right away from the bank's official app or a saved bookmark. Change it on any other site where you used the same password, and turn on or reset two-factor authentication. Call your bank using the number on your card to report possible compromise, freeze cards if you shared card details, and review recent transactions and payees. Watch for follow-up calls or texts pretending to be bank staff. Defenders should block the full hostname and the parent domain royatbintl.com, and search mail and proxy logs for visits to it.
