bahamaspostal-gov.com poses as the Bahamas postal service. The "-gov" tacked onto the name is meant to suggest an official government site to people waiting on a delivery. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-24. On 2026-10-19 the site was still alive and its content was reachable through a redirect, so links to it can still lead victims somewhere.
How the scam works
Postal impersonation scams usually begin with a text or email saying a parcel is held, undeliverable or owes a small customs or redelivery fee. The link leads to a page dressed up as the postal service, which asks for a name, address and phone number and then card details to pay the supposed fee. The fee is only bait. The real goal is the payment card and personal data, which can be used for fraudulent charges or follow-up scams. The page title is simply the domain name and reveals nothing about the lure.
Evidence
On 2026-10-07, 12 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. Detections came from alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, G-Data and Gridinsoft. Spamhaus lists it in its DBL under the phishing category, so many mail filters will block messages carrying the link. The domain also appears in three AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which means other researchers have tracked it too.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Cloudflare, Inc. on 2026-09-06, only 18 days before PhishDestroy detected it. That short gap is typical of throwaway phishing domains built for a single campaign. It is hosted on the 69HOST LLC network in Ukraine at 45.74.61.8, which has nothing to do with Bahamian government services. A free Let's Encrypt certificate gives it a padlock in the browser, but the padlock only means the connection is encrypted and says nothing about who runs the site.
What to do
If you entered card details here, call your bank right away to block the card and dispute any charges. Watch your statements for small test transactions. If you gave your address or phone number, expect follow-up texts or calls posing as couriers or officials, and confirm any delivery issue only through the postal service's official channels. Security teams should block the domain and its hosting IP, and search mail and SMS gateways for messages that link to it.
