PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

baap-ledger.pages.dev is a credential phishing page that borrows the Ledger name to collect login details from people who own or manage Ledger hardware wallets. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-01. The site went offline on 2026-09-13 after the hosting provider blocked its content, and it was still down when last checked on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

The page carries the title "Sign in · Company Ledger" and presents a login form styled as a Ledger account or company portal. Anything typed into that form goes straight to the operators, not to Ledger. Ledger-themed lures of this kind usually ask for an email and password, and often push for the 24-word recovery phrase as well. A stolen recovery phrase gives the attacker full control of the wallet's funds without ever touching the physical device. The title reads like a generic corporate sign-in rather than a Ledger product page, while our classification identifies the site as Ledger credential phishing.

Evidence

Antivirus coverage was thin. When VirusTotal checked the site on 2026-09-13, only 1 of 89 engines flagged it, and that engine was Forcepoint ThreatSeeker. Wallet-focused defenders caught it more reliably. The domain appears on the PhishDestroy, MetaMask and SEAL blocklists, so MetaMask users and SEAL-aligned tools would have been warned even though most scanners stayed silent.

Infrastructure

The page was published as a Cloudflare Pages project, which explains the pages.dev address. Its creation date is 2026-07-02, roughly two months before PhishDestroy spotted it. Free subdomains like this cost nothing to spin up and can be swapped out quickly. Traffic was served through Cloudflare's network, geolocated to Canada, with a certificate from Google Trust Services. That certificate is standard for the platform and does not suggest the page was legitimate.

What to do

If you entered a Ledger recovery phrase on this page, treat the wallet as compromised. Set up a new wallet with a fresh phrase and move any remaining funds to it immediately. If you entered an email and password, change that password everywhere you reused it and turn on app-based two-factor authentication. Watch for follow-up emails posing as Ledger support, because attackers often reuse harvested addresses for second-stage scams. Security teams should block this hostname and keep an eye on similar Ledger-branded pages.dev subdomains, since low VirusTotal coverage means standard filters may miss the next copy.
