PhishDestroy classifies it as an impersonation phishing page built to win the trust of would-be traders and investors. We first flagged it on 2026-10-06, and it was still online and serving live content on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
Sites like this copy the look and language of a trading platform to persuade visitors to open an account and fund it. The usual pattern is a polished dashboard showing growing "profits", then a request for more deposits. Withdrawals are blocked by invented taxes, verification charges or "release fees" that must be paid first. urlscan.io tagged the page as an investment scam. That fits this pattern: the victim loses whatever they deposit, plus any identity documents and login details handed over during sign-up.
Evidence
On 2026-10-18, six of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: ESET, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, Netcraft, SOCRadar and VIPRE. The count is modest, but these are independent vendors that agree with our verdict. urlscan.io rated the page malicious, and four AlienVault OTX threat pulses reference it. A clean result from other scanners should not be read as a sign the site is safe.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Dynadot Inc on 2026-09-29, only a week before we detected it. That short gap is typical of scam sites set up quickly for a campaign. It is hosted on the FranTech Solutions network in Luxembourg. Its certificate is a free, automatically issued Let's Encrypt certificate, so the padlock in the browser says nothing about whether the operator is legitimate.
What to do
Do not deposit money, and do not pay any "fee" or "tax" the site demands to release a balance. That money will not come back, and the requests will keep coming. If you already sent funds, contact your bank, card issuer or the exchange you sent from right away, keep all receipts and chat logs, and report the case to the police. Change any password you reused on the site, and if you uploaded ID documents, watch for identity misuse. Expect follow-up offers from "recovery services", which are a common second scam aimed at the same victims. Defenders should block the domain and its hosting address, and alert users who may have searched for Aqer Options.
