access-ledger-start.pages.dev is a phishing page that impersonated Ledger. It was aimed at people who own or are setting up a Ledger hardware wallet. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-08-10. The site has been offline since 2026-09-13 because the hosting provider blocked its content, and it was still dead when last checked on 2026-10-19. How the scam works
The name, with its "access" and "start" wording, copies the language of Ledger's onboarding process. Pages like this usually pose as a setup, update or verification step for Ledger Live. They tell the visitor to type in their 24-word recovery phrase to "sync" or "restore" the device. Ledger never asks for that phrase on a website. Anyone who enters it gives the attacker full control of every account the phrase protects, and the attacker can empty those accounts without ever touching the physical device.
Evidence
On 2026-09-14, 13 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. The vendors that flagged it include BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Emsisoft, alphaMountain.ai and LevelBlue. That level of agreement is solid for a short-lived free-hosting subdomain. The domain also appears on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists alongside PhishDestroy, so wallet users with those protections were warned independently.
Infrastructure
The site ran as a subdomain on Cloudflare Pages, a free static-hosting service, so the operator did not need to buy a domain of their own. The listed registration date of 2026-08-28 falls after PhishDestroy's first sighting, which suggests it reflects a redeployment rather than the actual launch. Traffic was served from Cloudflare's network, geolocated to Canada, with a Google Trust Services certificate. That setup is cheap, gives the page a valid padlock, and makes it easy to replace with a new subdomain.
What to do
If you typed your recovery phrase into this site, assume the wallet is compromised. Reset your Ledger, generate a new phrase, and move any remaining funds to the new accounts immediately, before the attacker sweeps them. If you only browsed the page without entering anything, no action is needed beyond ignoring any follow-up messages that claim to come from Ledger support. Defenders should block the domain and watch for sibling pages.dev subdomains with similar "ledger", "access" or "start" naming.
