Overview

106b.com is an impersonation phishing page that presents itself as a Chinese-language free movie portal. It targets people searching for free streaming of films and full TV series. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-10. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and redirecting visitors elsewhere.

How the scam works

The page title reads "金牌影院_免费在线播放_高清全集_电影网站_在线视频", roughly "Gold Medal Cinema: free online playback, complete HD series, movie website, online video". That bait is aimed at viewers who want premium content without paying. The title describes a streaming site, while we classify the domain as impersonation phishing. Sites in this category lure visitors with a familiar-looking front and then push them through redirects. There they are asked for logins, payment details or app installs under the pretext of unlocking playback. Victims typically lose account credentials, card data or money paid for access that never arrives.

Evidence

On 2026-10-12, 8 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. Those engines were alphaMountain.ai, Chong Lua Dao, Dr.Web, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, Seclookup, SOCRadar and URLQuery. That is a minority of engines, but it comes from independent vendors with different detection methods.
