PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

zestnetbank.com is an impersonation phishing page whose name is built to pass as an online bank, targeting people who expect to log in to their banking account. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-12. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving content. Its page currently displays the title "License Error," while we classify the site as impersonation phishing.

How the scam works

Bank impersonation sites copy the look and wording of a legitimate institution and use a domain name that sounds like a real bank. Victims usually arrive through a link in an email, text message or ad. The page asks them to sign in, confirm their identity or fix an account problem. Whatever they type goes straight to the operators, including usernames, passwords, one-time codes, card details and personal information. With these, the operators can take over the account, move money out or open fraud in the victim's name.

Evidence

On 2026-10-12, 11 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. The vendors include BitDefender, ESET, Kaspersky, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, G-Data, Lionic and alphaMountain.ai. That is a modest share of engines, but these are separate vendors reaching the same verdict on their own. PhishDestroy lists the domain on its blocklist.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered on 2026-04-23 through Hosting Concepts B.V. d/b/a Registrar.eu, nearly six months before we detected it. A name that sits unused for months before going live often means it was set up ahead of a campaign rather than for a real business. The site is hosted in the United States on the Aquiryn LLC network and uses a free Let's Encrypt certificate. That padlock in the browser only means the connection is encrypted and says nothing about whether the site is a real bank.

What to do

If you entered a username or password on this site, change it right away on your real bank's official app or website. Change it anywhere else you reused it, and turn on two-factor authentication. If you entered card numbers, one-time codes or ID details, call your bank using the number on your card. Ask them to freeze or reissue the card and check for transfers you did not make. Watch your statements and credit reports for new accounts in the coming weeks. Security teams should block the domain and its hosting IP at mail and web gateways, and look for any users who already visited it.
