How the scam works
The page carries the title "Xpay" and copies the branding a visitor would expect from the real service, so nothing looks wrong at a glance. Impersonation pages like this typically ask the victim to sign in, verify an account or connect a wallet to complete a payment or claim a balance. Whatever is entered, whether passwords, one-time codes, recovery phrases or a wallet signature, goes to the operators. That gives them direct access to the victim's account or funds.
Evidence
Twelve of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-09-24, including Netcraft, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Emsisoft, CRDF, Gridinsoft, Lionic and alphaMountain.ai. Several of these vendors run their own independent phishing feeds, so this is a meaningful detection count for a site this new. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL under the phishing category.
