PhishDestroy threat report

Overview

wiknml.com is an impersonation phishing page that borrowed Cloudflare's branding to target people who manage websites and DNS through Cloudflare. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-08-31. The domain went offline on 2026-09-11 and was still dead when last checked on 2026-10-19, with its DNS no longer resolving.

How the scam works

Cloudflare impersonation pages usually present a familiar login prompt, verification step or security notice so the visitor types in their account email, password and sometimes a one-time code. With that access an attacker can redirect a victim's domains, alter DNS records, create API tokens or quietly take over sites, which makes Cloudflare accounts valuable targets. The page carried the title "Suspected Phishing | Cloudflare", which matches Cloudflare's own phishing-warning label, while our classification is an impersonation phishing page using the Cloudflare brand.

Evidence

On 2026-09-12, 11 of 89 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain, including alphaMountain.ai, BitDefender, CRDF, Fortinet, G-Data, Google Safe Browsing, Gridinsoft and Kaspersky. That count is modest, but several of these vendors run independent threat-intelligence pipelines, so the classification does not rest on a single source. Google Safe Browsing rated the site SOCIAL_ENGINEERING, which triggers warnings in Chrome and other browsers that use it. The domain also appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses and on the PhishDestroy blocklist.

Infrastructure

The domain was registered through Cloudflare, Inc. and served from Cloudflare's network, with the address geolocated to Canada. Its TLS certificate came from Google Trust Services (WE1), which is standard for Cloudflare-fronted sites, so the padlock gave visitors no real assurance. Running a Cloudflare impersonation on Cloudflare's own infrastructure makes the domain look more native to anyone who checks where it is hosted.

What to do

If you entered credentials on wiknml.com, change your Cloudflare password immediately, enable or reset two-factor authentication, and sign out all active sessions. Review your account's API tokens, audit logs, DNS records, page rules and member list for anything you did not create, and revoke or roll back unfamiliar changes. If you reused that password elsewhere, change it there too. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and proxy level, search mail and web logs for any visits around 2026-08-31 to 2026-09-11, and report similar lookalike pages to Cloudflare's abuse team.
