walletconnect-airdrop.xyz is an airdrop scam that impersonates WalletConnect and targets crypto wallet users who expect free token rewards. How the scam works
The page was titled "The WalletConnect Network: OKX Airdrop", mixing the WalletConnect and OKX names to make a fake token giveaway look official. Visitors are told they qualify for an airdrop and are prompted to connect a wallet to claim it. The kit abuses the WalletConnect pairing flow. Instead of delivering tokens, the connection requests token approvals, permit signatures or transfers that hand control of the victim's assets to the attacker. Once a victim signs, the attacker can drain tokens and NFTs without any further interaction.

Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2026-09-22 through Spaceship, Inc. It was hosted at 94.154.172.39 on the IP Vendetta Inc. network in Seychelles. Its TLS certificate was issued by Let's Encrypt (YE2), a free automated certificate that shows the connection is encrypted but says nothing about whether the site is legitimate.
What to do
If you connected a wallet to this site, use a token-approval checker to revoke any allowances or permits granted around that time.
