vpn-myxa.ru presents itself as the official site of МУХА VPN, with the page title "МУХА VPN — Быстрый и надёжный VPN" ("fast and reliable VPN"). It targets Russian-speaking users who are searching for a working VPN and may land on a lookalike instead of the real provider. PhishDestroy first flagged the domain on 2026-10-13. As of 2026-10-19 the site was still online and serving its content.

How the scam works

The domain swaps the brand name into Latin letters ("myxa" reads like МУХА) and adds "vpn-" so it looks like a natural address for the service. Fake VPN storefronts like this usually collect payment for subscriptions that are never delivered, harvest account logins and card details, or hand out a "client app" that the real vendor never published. A victim can lose money, payment card data, account credentials, or control of the device if they install a counterfeit installer.
