velmocoin-system.com is a fake cryptocurrency exchange that presented itself as "Velmocoin | AI Trading Platform | Official Website." It targeted retail investors looking for automated, AI-driven crypto returns. PhishDestroy first detected it on 2026-09-23. The site went offline on 2026-09-26, and its DNS was still inactive when last checked on 2026-10-19.

How the scam works

Fake AI trading platforms like this one promise effortless profits from a supposedly intelligent trading bot. Victims are asked to register and deposit cryptocurrency or fiat. A dashboard then shows fabricated gains to encourage larger deposits. When users try to withdraw, the platform invents fees, taxes or verification steps that require further payments, and the funds never come back. Victims lose everything they deposited, along with any personal and identity documents submitted during sign-up.
