usdc557.com is an impersonation phishing site whose name borrows from USDC, the widely held dollar stablecoin, to draw in people who hold or trade it. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-09. The site went offline on 2026-10-14, with its content blocked by the provider, and it was still dead when rechecked on 2026-10-19. The page itself carried the title "onkeyon", which does not match the USDC branding in the domain name, while we classified the site as impersonation.
How the scam works
Stablecoin-themed impersonation sites copy the look and wording of a trusted crypto brand so the visitor believes they are dealing with a legitimate service. The victim is then steered to connect a wallet and sign transactions, enter a recovery phrase, or send USDC for a promised reward, payout or account activation. Signed approvals let the operator move tokens out of the wallet. A disclosed seed phrase hands over the whole wallet. Deposited funds simply disappear, and any later "fee" to unlock them is part of the same theft.
Evidence
Detection by security vendors was thin. On 2026-10-13, 3 of 92 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain: Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, LevelBlue and SOCRadar. The domain also appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, which means other researchers tied it to malicious activity independently. Among blocklists, only PhishDestroy lists it, so most browser and wallet warnings would not have caught it while it was live.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2025-11-09 through Gname.com Pte. Ltd., roughly eleven months before PhishDestroy detected it. That long gap suggests the name was registered well in advance rather than spun up the day of the campaign. The site sat behind Cloudflare, Inc. on an address geolocated to Canada, so the real origin server is hidden behind the proxy network.
What to do
If you connected a wallet to usdc557.com, revoke every token approval granted around that visit using a reputable allowance checker, and move remaining USDC and other assets to a fresh wallet. If you typed in a recovery phrase, treat that wallet as compromised, create a new one and transfer everything right away. If you sent funds and are asked for a fee to recover them, do not pay. Report the transaction to your wallet provider and local authorities. Security teams should block the domain and search proxy and DNS logs for connections made before 2026-10-14.
