It targets crypto users who hold or want to earn on stablecoins. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-10-09. It has been offline since 2026-10-14, with its content blocked by the provider, and was still down when last checked on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
Sites in this family pose as a USDC-branded platform offering things like staking, rewards or easy transfers. They push visitors to connect a wallet, sign a transaction, deposit funds or type in a recovery phrase. Any of these steps can hand control of the victim's tokens to the operator, and stablecoin balances are a favoured target because they move instantly and keep their value. The page carried only the generic title "Home" and named no brand, while we classified the site as impersonation based on its USDC-themed identity.
Evidence
The classification rests on PhishDestroy's own review, and it is currently the only blocklist carrying the domain. When VirusTotal scanned it on 2026-10-13, none of its 92 engines flagged it, a clean result that shows how freshly surfaced scam domains can slip past automated scanners. The domain also appears in 4 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so other researchers have independently tracked it as suspicious.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered through Gname.com Pte. Ltd. on 2025-12-29, roughly nine months before we detected it. That kind of gap often points to domains bought in batches and held in reserve. The site ran behind Cloudflare's network, with the address geolocated to Canada, which hides the real origin server. Its Google Trust Services certificate was issued automatically, so the browser padlock said nothing about whether the site could be trusted.
What to do
If you connected a wallet to usdc061.com, review and revoke any token approvals it obtained, and move remaining funds to a fresh wallet if you signed anything you did not fully understand. If you entered a recovery phrase, treat that wallet as compromised and transfer assets to a new one created with a new phrase right away. Do not send further payments to anyone who promises to unlock or recover funds. Defenders should block the domain and watch for lookalikes that pair "usdc" with numbers, since a numbered name like this suggests sibling domains may exist.
