PhishDestroy threat report
truenorthquantumplatformapp.com is an impersonation phishing page that presented itself as the official site of a "TrueNorth Quantum" platform app, aimed at people looking for crypto trading or investment services. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-18. The site has been offline since 2026-10-14, and as of 2026-10-19 its domain no longer resolves.
The page title, "truenorthquantumplatformapp | a premium | Official Website," shows the pitch: a polished, official-looking front built to make a lookalike name feel trustworthy. Sites like this usually ask visitors to register, hand over personal details or log in, and then push them toward deposits or wallet actions that benefit the operator. Victims can lose any funds they send, along with the identity and contact information they enter, which is often reused for follow-up scam calls and messages.
VirusTotal showed 15 of 91 engines flagging the domain on 2026-09-29. Detections came from established vendors including BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Emsisoft, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Gridinsoft, alphaMountain.ai and the Vietnamese anti-scam group Chong Lua Dao. The domain also appears in five AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so several independent researchers tracked it separately. PhishDestroy lists it on its own blocklist.
The domain was registered on 2025-10-05 through MainReg Inc., nearly a year before it was detected. That gap suggests it was registered early and either held in reserve or run quietly before drawing attention. It was hosted on Snel.com B.V. in the Netherlands. Its free ZeroSSL domain-validated certificate only encrypted the connection and offered no proof of who ran the site.
If you signed up or deposited money through this site, stop all further payments, including any "fees" or "taxes" requested to release a balance, and report the transfers to your bank or exchange right away. Change any password you reused there and turn on two-factor authentication for your email and exchange accounts. Expect targeted follow-up from fake support agents or "recovery services," and ignore them. Defenders should block the domain, check logs for past visits to it, and watch for newly registered domains that repeat the same "quantum platform app" naming pattern.
