PhishDestroy threat report
trezor.stream is a phishing site that copies Trezor, the hardware wallet maker, and showed the page title "TREZOR" to make visitors think they had reached the real brand. It targets people who own or are setting up a Trezor device and hold crypto on it. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-08-23. The site has been offline since 2026-09-11, and its DNS was still inactive at the last check on 2026-10-19.
Fake hardware wallet sites usually claim the device needs a firmware update, a wallet sync or a security check. They then ask for the 12- or 24-word recovery phrase, or push a counterfeit desktop app that does the same. Whoever holds that phrase controls the wallet, so attackers can empty it from anywhere without touching the physical device. urlscan.io also tagged the page with an investment-scam pattern alongside Trezor, so visitors may have been shown a fake returns or staking pitch built around the brand.
16 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-09-03, including BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, alphaMountain.ai, Cluster25, CRDF and CyRadar. That is broad agreement from vendors that work independently of each other. urlscan.io rated the page malicious. The domain appears on the MetaMask and SEAL blocklists as well as PhishDestroy's, and four AlienVault OTX threat pulses reference it.
The domain was registered on 2026-08-21 through Gname.com Pte. Ltd., and PhishDestroy flagged it two days later. That short gap is typical of throwaway phishing domains set up for a single campaign. It resolved to an address on Alibaba (US) Technology Co., Ltd.'s network, geolocated in South Korea. The ".stream" extension paired with a well-known brand name is a common lookalike tactic.
If you typed your recovery phrase into this site, treat that wallet as compromised. Reset or replace your Trezor so it generates a new phrase, then move your funds to the new wallet immediately. If you connected a wallet, review and revoke any token approvals you did not intend to give. If you sent money for an investment or staking offer, do not pay any further "fees" to recover it, keep your transaction records and report the theft. Defenders should block the domain, watch for Trezor lookalikes on unusual extensions, and remind users that Trezor never asks for a recovery phrase on a website.
