PhishDestroy threat report
tetherdapp.cloud is an impersonation phishing page that presented itself under the title 'Tether Dapp', borrowing the name of the company behind the USDT stablecoin. Tether does not need a separate 'dapp' for holders to use their tokens, which makes the name itself a lure aimed at USDT holders and wallet users. PhishDestroy first saw the domain on 2026-08-26. It has been offline since 2026-09-08, and its DNS was still inactive when we last checked on 2026-10-19.
Pages built around a fake 'Tether Dapp' usually promise a USDT feature such as staking, rewards, an airdrop claim or a wallet check, then push the visitor to connect a wallet. From there the operator's goal is to get the victim to sign a token approval or transaction, or to type in a recovery phrase on a fake verification form. Either one gives the attacker control over the victim's USDT and other assets, and transfers on-chain cannot be reversed.
Eight of 90 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain as of 2026-09-06: alphaMountain.ai, CRDF, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, Fortinet, Gridinsoft, PhishFort, SOCRadar and VIPRE. That is a modest share, but it includes PhishFort, a crypto-focused anti-phishing service. Spamhaus lists the domain in its DBL under the phishing category, which affects mail and DNS filtering. The domain appears in four AlienVault OTX threat pulses and on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
The domain was registered through Namecheap. It was hosted on Amazon cloud infrastructure in Singapore, which let the operator spin up a page quickly and drop it just as fast. The site was carrying traffic for less than two weeks after we first detected it. It had a valid TLS certificate from the E5 issuer, so the browser padlock showed nothing unusual and was no sign that the site was legitimate.
If you connected a wallet to this site, use a token-approval checker to revoke any allowances you granted there. If you typed in your seed phrase or recovery phrase, treat that wallet as compromised. Create a new wallet with a new phrase and move any remaining funds to it right away. Reach Tether services only through bookmarks you created yourself, and ignore links promising USDT rewards or claims. Defenders should block the domain at DNS and the mail gateway, add it to watchlists in case it comes back online, and search logs for traffic to it between 2026-08-26 and 2026-09-08.

This report combines saved page captures, registration and network records, scanner results and PhishDestroy reporting history. Each source keeps its own observation date. Open a source report to inspect the original result.

A capture documents what was shown. A scanner result records that provider’s assessment at the time of its check. Neither a valid certificate nor a zero-detection result is a guarantee of safety.
