tbndep.click is an impersonation phishing site built to pass itself off as a trusted brand, and its Vietnamese registrar, hosting and page language point to a Vietnamese-speaking audience. PhishDestroy first flagged it on 2026-09-18. The site has been offline since 2026-10-06 and was still dead when we checked again on 2026-10-19.
How the scam works
The page title reads "Webcake | Chưa xuất bản", which is Vietnamese for an unpublished page on the Webcake landing-page builder. That title shows a builder placeholder, while our classification is impersonation phishing. Sites like this copy the look of a bank, delivery service, retailer or crypto platform, then ask visitors to sign in, verify an account or pay a small fee. Anything typed in, such as passwords, one-time codes, card numbers or ID details, goes straight to the operators, who use it to take over accounts or empty them.
Evidence
On 2026-09-29, 16 of 91 VirusTotal engines flagged the domain. That is a solid consensus for a short-lived phishing page. The vendors include BitDefender, ESET, Fortinet, Forcepoint ThreatSeeker, alphaMountain.ai, AILabs (MONITORAPP), CyRadar and Chong Lua Dao. Chong Lua Dao is a Vietnamese anti-scam project, which fits the local targeting. The domain also appears in 50 AlienVault OTX threat pulses, so it has circulated widely among researchers, and it sits on the PhishDestroy blocklist.
Infrastructure
The domain was registered on 2025-10-04 through MAT BAO CORPORATION, nearly a year before we detected it. That gap suggests it was registered early and held in reserve, or that it ran unnoticed for a while. It was hosted on CMC Telecom Infrastructure Company's network in Vietnam, so the whole setup stays inside Vietnamese providers. Its free ZeroSSL domain-validated certificate gave it a browser padlock, which proves nothing about who runs the site.
What to do
If you entered a password on this site, change it now, along with any other account that uses the same password, and turn on app-based two-factor authentication. If you gave card or bank details, call your bank, block the card and dispute any unfamiliar charges. If you shared ID documents or phone codes, expect follow-up scam calls and messages, and never read codes back to anyone. Defenders should block the domain, search mail and proxy logs for past visits, and watch for other Webcake-built pages on Vietnamese hosting that imitate the same brands.
